Water Bill Assistance Programs
New Jersey American Water H2O "Help to Others" Program
New Jersey American Water & SHARES partnered to provide a program to help New Jersey households afford their water and wastewater bills. Eligible households can receive up to $500 through this program if:
they have residential accounts with New Jersey American Water
have a household income below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level, and
fulfilled at least 50% of payment terms set by New Jersey American Water

New Jersey American Water Universal Affordability Discount Program
New Jersey American Water and SHARES have partnered to provide a program to help New Jersey households afford their water and/or wastewater bill. Eligible households can qualify with tiered discounts ranging from 15% to 60% off monthly fixed water service charges if:
there is an existing residential account with New Jersey American Water, and
have a household income that is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line

AQUA Aid Program
AQUA New Jersey and NJ SHARES have partnered to provide a program to help New Jersey households afford their water and/or sewer bills. Eligible households can receive up to $150 for water service or up to $250 for combined water and sewer service in a revolving 12-month period.

Veolia Cares Program
Veolia and SHARES have partnered to create a water assistance program to provide help to those who are in a temporary financial crisis and in need of water bill payment assistance. This is not an income-based program and is available to anyone in a temporary financial crisis who has made a good faith payment of at least $20 within 90 days of applying.
