NJ 211 is the state’s leading centralized helpline and social service directory that refers millions of New Jersey residents to critical support services and provides assistance for a range of life’s essential needs.

Our staff guides individuals and families to assistance with food, shelter, health care, mental health services, and other basic needs. Our partner programs provide resources for a range of other important (and often urgent) issues, such as access to legal assistance, tax filing help, and child care. And when disasters strike, NJ residents turn to NJ 211 for timely state-vetted information when they need it most.
