Housing Assistance

The National Homeless Call Center through the VA offers 24/7 support for veterans facing homelessness or housing instability. Call 877-424-3838 for immediate assistance.

  • Community Hope’s Hope for Veterans offers housing assistance and mental health services for veterans in Northern New Jersey. Their programs, including transitional and permanent supportive housing, support veterans needing housing stability and recovery services.
  • In southern New Jersey, Catholic Charities provides low-income veterans with housing assistance and case management services. For more information, call 609-413-2145.

Mental Health and Support Services

  • The Veterans Crisis Line is a confidential, 24/7 service for veterans in crisis. It is available via call, text, or chat. For immediate support, dial 988 and press 1 or text 838-255.
  • NJ Vet2Vet offers 24/7 peer support and case management services for veterans and their families. The hotline is 866-838-7654.
