Health Equity

NJ 211’s Health Equity initiative, in partnership with the NJ Department of Health, aims to address the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 and other health disparities on vulnerable and medically underserved communities, including people 65+. Since 2021, this project has connected over 7,100 Essex County residents with referrals to resources to boost their social determinants of health. The project serves nine high-need municipalities: Passaic, Paterson, Lakewood, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Newark, Elizabeth, Plainfield, and Trenton.
