Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program is a homeless prevention and rapid re-housing program which provides assistance to veterans and their families, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to maintain their housing, or to rapidly re-house those who have recently become homeless. The program operates under a "housing first" model that prioritizes housing stability for veterans.
For veterans and their families who are eligible for this program, SSVF may provide temporary financial assistance with regards to costs related to housing stability, such as security deposits, rental payments, utility bills, and daycare. Additional support services can range from assistance with transportation; child care; linkage to medical care, behavioral healthcare and recovery services for veterans experiencing PTSD and other effects of combat; and other services to help the veterans and their family re-establish financial stability and self-sufficiency and fully transition back into the community.Fees:
