The Latest News for You is designed to meet the needs most often expressed by our callers and Web site visitors. It is organized by topic. Each section typically offers a general overview of the social service system as a whole and then provides details about state and local resources. This portion of our site changes continuously to anticipate emerging needs and provide the most timely and relevant information. The date at the bottom of the page will let you know when it was last updated with new information. So visit often to see the latest news.
For Agency Professionals
For Agency Professionals provides organizations with resource information to assist clients, write grants and build a community between providers of care. The Reference Shelf will feature reports on the needs of our callers and Web visitors within each county and municipality. New reports published within the human services network will also be featured. Catalog Tools will provide instruction on searching the Community Catalog, as well as tips for finding fast results and information embedded in the Catalog, like the census data and transportation options. The 2-1-1 Portal enhances the delivery of service while saving dollars by providing a safe, encrypted portal for information exchange between the helping professions. Special Bulletins
Special Bulletins, located on the left sidebar of the site, is where we will post timely or emergency news. This section of our site is likely to change often and will always be the place to look if there is a natural disaster or emergency. It will also be used to highlight emergent and seasonal topics of interest, like energy assistance or unemployment issues.
Other Features
The site can be translated into many different languages by clicking the appropriate link under the main heading Translate Site. The Contact Us section provides an alternative toll-free number should the 2-1-1 dialing code not work. We ask that you let us know of any difficulties you might be having calling 2-1-1, by filling out a brief information sheet which we will use to work with your telephone service provider to ensure access to 2-1-1.
